Day Hike - Naches Peak Loop

Fantastic short hike with beautiful views!

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

Our party of seven met at the Enumclaw Ranger Station at 8am and hit the trail about 9:30am hiking the loop clockwise.  It was with a beautiful cool partially cloudy fall day.  We were thankful we brought our microspikes as most of the trail was covered in compact snow.  We did take off the spikes about half way around the loop as we started to come across more mud than snow.  Unfortunately all the fall colors are gone but we did see a spectacular frozen waterfall and iced over tarns.  Beautiful views of Rainer on the last half of our hike.  The trail was not too busy which made this a peaceful day. We returned to the cars around noon ready for something hot to drink and bite to eat.  We stopped at Wapiti Woolies in Greenwater for ice cream and hot drinks on our way back to the Enumclaw Ranger station.
