  • Trail was wet due to recent rainfall/snowmelt. There was recent rockfall on the trail around 2 miles ...large boulders.  At about 2.25 miles up, there is a rushing stream to cross on loose boulders.

Trail was wet due to recent rainfall/snowmelt. There was recent rockfall on the trail around 2 miles up (about 3-4 really large boulders, one the size of a refrigerator, right in the midle of the trail) so take heed when walking under these massive overhanging rock formations. At about 2.25 miles up, there is a rushing stream to cross, use caution, you can step on some of the rocks in the stream but test them first.  Intermittent snow from there on, not enough to warrant traxion or gaitors.

At about 2.8 miles, trail is covered in a river of shallow and sometimes pretty deep water for approximately 500m. Must be careful navigating so you don't get soaked.

The trail can get a bit icy in places, microspikes were used briefly on the way down, which made the descent much. View was superb and the summit is covered in snow. Made it up in around 2 hours (the river took a long time to plod through!)
