Day Hike - Mount Si Old Trail

The trail was easy to follow, light snow and ice. Haystack was passible but dangerous, microspikes at minimum.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • The route was easy to follow, and the trail itself had light snow and ice. I would say microspikes at minimum required to get to the summit. With some ice on the Haystack, it was possible but dangerous.

All cars can drive easily and parking in the overflow lot was fine. A Discovery Pass is needed. The weather was cold, some snow, some rain. Because this was a conditioner, we were up and back in roughly 1hr 50min (1500ft/hr). Microspikes were definitely needed, and a good rainproof jacket is important. Elevation was 3,300ft, mileage was 7 miles. Difficultly is strenuous.
