Day Hike - Margaret's Way to Central and West Peaks
A beautiful day for a conditioning hike on Squak Mountain.

The trail is in good shape. You can see some erosion from the heavy rains we had, but it is still fine for hiking. The bridge has been repaired and recent blowdown has been cleared.
The parking lot is now open. Wood violets are already blooming. We saw Douglas squirrels, Bald eagles, hawks and other birds.
We hiked up Margaret's Way and stopped at Debbie's View for a view of Mt. Rainier. We headed to the Bullitt Fireplace for lunch and then to Central Peak. We could see Mt. Baker from this trail. Then we headed up West Peak and down Margaret's Way stopping at the top viewpoint for a view of the Olympics.
