Paved road near trail head parking has 2 large (marked) pot holes, avoid at all cost. Pit toilets were recently cleaned and well stocked with toilet paper, no hand sanitizer.
Parking lot was pretty full at 9am. Make sure you put your pass out. There is a new "buy your pass here" station at the parking lot that is solar powered. I observed one person using it.
People, dogs and families were still arriving when we ended our hike. Lots of people backpacking, saw one couple headed to the brothers (helmets on their packs).
Trail is in good condition, lots of small rocks, roots and only one small easily crossed wet spot.
Some wild flowers along the trail. Sadly no trout lilies. The rain perked up the moss and ferns and made the green pop with color.
We just went to the overlook rock but I'm sure the campsites were full. Take bags for dog droppings please, we saw a lot of good trail dogs, all were friendly and most on a leash.
