Day Hike - Lime Kiln Trail

Good tread and very well signed trail. Pkg lot fills up by 8:30am on wknds but trail never seemed crowded. Dogs w/people are more common by afternoon and the stupid poop bags started appearing on the way out.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • Some mud.  Lots of nettles on the route and trail needs some heavy pruning to keep the salmon berry, devil's club and nettles from crowding out the trail corridor.

Driving is on pavement except for the last 1/4 mile(or less) on good gravel.  Pay attention to road signage out of Granite Falls(GF) and check out the directions on the snohomish county parks website.  The Buzz Inn/Cafe is a good spot in GF for an after hike snack.
