Starting at the Licorice Fern trail, we hiked 8 miles connecting to Shy Bear Trail and Deceiver trail

Trail was mostly in good condition with some slippery mud spots and a couple of passable downed trees.
Trip was 8 miles with an elevation gain of 1800' and a RT of 4 hours including a couple short breaks. There is parking along the road adjacent to the trailhead. However, it must fill up quickly on a weekend.
