Day Hike - Green Mountain: Gold Creek Trail

Hike to the summit on Green Mountain using the Gold Creek, Vista, Beaver Pond, Plummer, and Tasi's Connector trails.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

  • Lots of flowing water on parts of the trail after all the rain over the past week. Some iced over puddles higher up but no issues with traction on the trails. Winds were not as bad as expected but temperatures were definitely on the colder side.

Plenty of parking at the Gold Creek trailhead and only 3 cars at the Wildcat trailhead. Surprising number of hikers on a Friday but good to see everyone out there enjoying themselves. Great views of the Olympic Mountains with all the new snow. Clouds covering the Cascades and Seattle but still able to see the Puget Sound and Bremerton.
