Plenty of parking available and not many other hikers! This rocky trail is in relatively good shape with no blowdowns, but does have some erosion in places that I don't recall from my last visit four years ago. A few large snow patches remain on the back side of the main trail that were easy to go over or around. Also, there were slick muddy spots and water that will disappear as things dry up.
I arrived a little after 7:00 a.m. and there was a lot of parking available. We started hiking at 7:45 under a clear blue sky and comfortable temps. Saw a handful of people heading down as we went up, then a few parties going up as we headed down. Only about a half dozen at the lookout along with a handsome husky pup!
Our moving time was 6 hours rt, and about an hour stopped for breaks and a leisurely lunch up top. A great day out with beautiful scenery and great company!
