The trail was well maintained and clearly marked. There are a lot of intersections so a map is encouraged.
This was a great forest hike. Parking in the evening wasn't a problem and we nearly had the trail to ourselves. It was overcast during our hike and the temperature was quite pleasant.
We stopped at a viewpoint near Long View Peak as well as Doughty Falls. The view near Long View Peak was blocked by trees though it was still possible to see the southern tip of Lake Washington. Doughty Falls was a trickle (see the attached picture). Both were still great places to stop at.
