Day Hike - Dirty Harry's Balcony

Enjoyable evening hiking to a diner spot with a view.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

  • There is blowdown that is easily gone over or under. Winter floods have washed away forest duff leaving bare dirt with rocks strewn across the trails. Trail is hikeable.  

Earth Day is free at state parks, but still there was only one other car at the trailhead. The rain had stopped ahead of our evening hike as was forecast. So we hiked with no rain. There was mist giving off a cool atmosphere. The group enjoyed the forest and the ledge where we ate dinner. We didn't see any bird houses on the birdhouse trail. Paint brush is blooming as are Trillium's, Bleeding heart, Wood violets, Salmonberry and Oregon grape.
