Trip Report

Day Hike - Dash Point State Park

Nice afternoon hike to explore the forested trails at Dash Point State Park

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • Trail was in good condition.  There are some roots and rocks to step carefully around.

Parking is at a neighborhood park, so no parking pass is required.  Starting here gives several miles of hiking before reaching the beach, which makes the nicest lunch spot.

Most of the trails are in the forest which was vibrant with all the green new growth.  Blooming were salal, salmonberry, thimbleberry, black cap, Solomon's Plume and miner's lettuce.
