Day Hike - Cougar Mountain: Jim Whittaker Wilderness Peak Trailhead

Exploring the new and improved Whittaker Wilderness Peak trail with good company.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

  • There has been a lot of work to improve the trail. There are more planks to keep you above the mud.  And we had mud last night. The trail has been rerouted to and from the bench.

We hiked into a cloud and had some rain on the way down. Indian plum and wood violets are blooming. We had a great group and enjoyed seeing the improvements to the trail.
