Day Hike - Big Creek Loop
Perfect autumn day for this lovely forest hike that I never get "tired" of!

The entire loop trail is in great condition; no obstacles or hazards. The campground gate is closed for the winter, but there is plenty of parking at the gate and along the road on the opposite side. Bathrooms are locked.
My group of six did the loop counter-clockwise - the prettiest way to go. It was quite peaceful, and we saw less than a handful of other hikers. We opted to skip the upper lookout and had lunch at the confluence of three creeks. It was much nicer there, and the only view we would have had at the Lookout would have been a close-up of clouds. Mileage was roughly 5.3 rt with 1,000' gain. A fun hike with great companions!
