Cross-country Ski - Cabin Creek

Frozen in the morning, soft and fun from noon on

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • The previous afternoon frozen tracks were deep and unforgiving, demanding caution and skill on the downhill runs until things warmed up around noon. From there on out the snow was soft & fun, easy to push around making it mandatory for us to ski the loops again, and again. Coverage a little thin on the sides in a few places, and the snow is looking a little dirty here and there, hopefully this week's storms will be cool enough for a refresh. Regardless, there is still plenty of good skiing to be had.

Two cars in the parking lot when we arrived at 10ish, saw one skate skier and two classics until midday when we encountered one other classic skier.
