Trip Report

Crag Rock Climb - Exit 32

Crag climbing at Exit 32, Little Si, British Isles, climbing two sport routes on the Blackstone Wall and two routes on Repo I.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • Routes we climbed were all in good shape.  There were bees in the upper crack just off of the arete on the First Things Left route on Repo I wall.  Make sure to avoid that.

We spent the afternoon climbing at Exit 32, Little Si, British Isles, climbing two sport routes on the Blackstone Wall and two routes on Repo I.

We climbed the Human Foot and Winter Coat of Armor on Blackstone Wall. Both were fun routes.  We used a stick clip on the first bolt for both of these routes and it worked well and is highly recommended. Many of the first bolts are quite high on the Blackstone wall routes.

Jason lead Winter Coat of Armor and we all found it quite challenging for the grades with the bolts  widely spaced so climbers should be comfortable at the grade before leading this route.

Next we moved over to Repo I and climbed First Things First with tricams (didn't actually plan on climbing any trad routes but had a set of tricams just in case) and top roped  On Second Thought.

When climbing On Second Thought Ellie noticed that there were bees flying into and out of the crack on Next Time Round so we avoided that route.

It is great to have so many sport routes so close and we had both crags to our selves and had a great evening climbing.  The temperatures were just right and mosquitos were out but not to bad. Our dog Wimlah enjoyed using the rope as a pillow.
