CHS 1 Hike - Snoquera Palisades

A hike through the woods to two waterfalls and a view.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

  • The trail is in pretty good shape. Blowdown has been cleared, but there is some trail sluffing. The bridge with broken planks has been repaired. 

No permit required, but parking is limited. No crowds this Saturday.

Woodland flowers are blooming - Calypso ordchid, Oregon grape, Red flowering currant, Trillium and Wood violet. The streams are easily crossed. The waterfalls are pretty. There were two Mountain goats grazing above Lower Dalles falls. The day was a little cloudy, still the view was good.
