Gate is closed so park in small lot or along road. We started at 9am and when we returned the road side parking was full. Bathrooms still locked.
Sadly saw lots of people have green dog poop bags left around the start of the trail, they need to pack them home!
2 small trees over the trail but easy to step over. There are now 2 tolls in residence guarding the bridge!
Didn't notice any wild flowers yet. Even the lower level Rhodies and skunk cabbage not out yet. Trail is good except 2 step over trees. Creek was flowing strong. Over look was in the clouds but the cool hiking weather was perfect.
We drove up towards Mt. Rose and that gate is locked and notice says "closed to foot traffic". Be safe and don't go exploring, contact a ranger for updates.
I noticed a few down trees in the campground and will pass along this information. Olympia stewardship has a yearly planned clean up scheduled but trees will need to be removed by officials first in my opinion.
Restrooms are locked. No garbage cans so pack out all your doggie green waste bags!
Always a good workout. Hoodsport was busy! By the way Skok was running high too.
