Basic Snowshoe - Paradise (winter)
Pleasant first snowshoe trip of the season, went about 1.5 miles into Edith Basin, had lunch and returned before it got wet.

Road from Longmire to Paradise opened on time, patches of ice on road. Used traction tires which did well. Snow crusty and firm.
Road from Longmire to Paradise opened on time, patchy ice present above Nisqually bridge. Traction tires worked well. Saw red fox on side of road just below upper Paradise parking lot. Weather overcast and getting darker as day went on, but got out before precipitation fell. Light wind.
