  • Bald Rock
  • Scrambling

Traverse made for a very pleasant and interesting day, with good opportunity to practice navigation. With good snow conditions would call this a 3-1 scramble. Ice axes carried but not needed. Wonderful views from summit on sunny mild day. Hit snow in Olallie Creek basin at 3800' and found crossing log with help of GPS waypoint as creek was running strong. Rock on summit just melting out. We were 3rd party to sign summit register placed in 2007. On way out to Box Canyon trailhead, found Wonderland trail at 4500' and were able to follow it to cars. 8 hours with many naturalist stops and long summit break.
