Backpacking Building Blocks Student-Only Backpack - Ingalls Creek

Relaxed early season backpack with gentle elevation gain and beautiful wildflowers.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • The trail was in great condition up to our campsite.  We camped at the Horse Camp about 4 miles in.  The camp was in good condition, with plenty of space and flat areas for tents.  The water from the creek is very accessible.

This was a great early-season trip.  The road is paved to the trailhead so good for all vehicles and there is also plenty of parking at the trailhead.  You will need to register your group at the trailhead before heading out.  The trail was in great condition and we were lucky enough to catch many of the wildflowers still blooming as we hiked along the creek.  We backpacked to the Horse Camp at about 4 miles in.  We passed about 4 other campsites that would be great for other small groups.  The campsite had plenty of flat areas for pitching your tent and creek access for water.  Overall a really fun trip!
