Road conditions were great considering a lot was on packed dirt roads. Not many potholes. Signs to destination well done and clear. Returning from trip same. A bit narrower than perhaps expected, but not critically so. Trail well marked, clear and well marked. Side trail on east side of Nannie Peak not marked (it re-joined the trail(?)).
Trip to Walupt Lake un-eventful, Trail to Nannie Ridge easy to find. Plenty of restrooms though very dark inside.Trail on Nannie Ridge clear, and easy to follow.Great views of Goat Rocks from the south. Campsite plentyful around Sheep Lake. Plenty of a variety of mushrooms alongside the trail. No large animals seen. Wildflowers essentially gone. Weather on Saturday was cool but good temperature for backpacking. Woke up to light rain Sunday AM, as per National Weather Service forecast, rain all the way back to trailhead.
