The first day hiking from the top of Sliding Sands trail to Holua Cabin was hiked in the rain. Lucky to cabin came with a nice wood stove.
The second day, 4 of the member decide not to continues and hike out the switch back trail the next day. The remain 4 of us hike to Paliku cabin as planned. Sunny and clear.
The third is a 2800 foot drop to the park boundary from Paliku cabin down the Kapou trail. And of course back up. Sunny, clear and hot.
The fourth day is a 10 mile 2400 foot gain trip to the trail head for the switch back trail. Driving to Hana and arriving in the dark. Sunny with high clouds at times.
The fifth day is 3.9 mile round trip up the Oheo river valley. Sunny and hot.
