The 6.5 mile road trail was in good condition. The maple trees were showing their fall colors. There were plenty of campsites open when we got there. The five of us took a site near the river on the east side. Nearby were bear lockers and a pit toilet. We had a small campfire both nights we were in camp. The second day we did a day hike up the Sunnybrook Meadows trail, about 11.8 miles round trip. We made it up to 4800 ft elevation. The trail was getting brushy with several downed trees, so we stopped at a stream for lunch and then headed back. On the third day we made breakfast and headed out, as it had started raining. We probably saw a dozen folks on the trail over the three days.
