8" of new light snow over a rock hard crust. Some of the steeper skinning climbs had tricky spots where the light snow scraped down to the blue ice. Three excellent descents!
6.25 miles tour/ski. 2,421-ft elevation gain. Excellent super light powder on the north side descents, but the rock hard crust underneath kept us alert. Skiing the road back to the parking was exciting. Our skis made a terrible scraping sound causing snowshoers to scurry out of the way. SORRY!
