April Hikes: 2.5 - 5 miles, 250 - 1,000 feet gain - Wallace Falls
Nice trail up to the Middle Falls on April 1st! Even in the late winter/early spring on a cloudy day, this trail is bringht with green moss, ferns and the clear water running next to you. Closer to 4.4 miles and 875 elevation gain.

The trail is in good condition, and nothing is blocking the trail. The trail drains well - no major puddles. I heard one person slipping on some loose gravel on the way down - no injuries. We all used poles and were glad we had them. The trail has some high steps, roots, and rocks.
Here is my Gaia link for the trail hike:
Perfect hike for any season. Temps were about 40 degrees when we started and 47 at the finish. We were lucky, and the rain held out with some drizzle starting at the end of our Go-Hike. The Falls were full and beautiful all the way up to the Middle Falls; make sure to look for all the other smaller falls tucked on the side of the trail. We could clearly see the upper falls from the Middle Falls viewing area. Lots of hikers were coming up (around 11 am) as we were heading down this Wednesday afternoon.
