no viz the whole trip. ~5500 a challenging rock/snow step on approach to washington. up above, we took the super easy, not exposed, class 2 walk around climber's left at washington's summit block. not sure why people don't typically go this way. we then descended back down to ~4900. after dead-ending in the zero viz, we traversed still in zero viz toward ellinor on easy snow roughly at 5200' and then ascended easy snow between a and b peaks and cruised to ellinor summit. descent from ellinor was easy, but steeper than i expected. glissading at this time looked like a terrible idea - tons of hazards in the glissade track. fun trip.
road to mt wa parking snow free. upper lena parking lot has one short snow patch, that a subaru bravely made it through.
