We started the trip meeting at 7:30, on the trail at 7:45. Weather was fantastic. We did not encounter snow until about 5,000 ft, the last 1,000 ft before the summit. Very low snow for this time of year. It was easy to cross the stream at 4400 ft. Trail was good, but very intense, vertical scramble.

This is our group on the way up at the stream crossing. The elevation gain was 3116 and mileage 3.8 miles. We started at 7:45 AM, ate lunch at summit at 12:15 PM. Snow slowed us down the last 1,000 ft. Going down was slow. We rested again at the stream on the way out and got hydrated. We made the parking lot about 4 pm. We did make our goals. ^ students could practice moving on snow and get snow credit. We wore helmets almost the whole time and had no safety incidents. All had a good time.
