Great workout, but minimal snow reduced the opportunities for practicing snow skills.

Kautz Creek took a bit of foraging about to find the current ‘preferred way’, but a very easy crossing. Trail was snowfree to Devil’s Dream campsite, but continuous at Squaw Lakes. Snow was intermittent on the cross country portion to the summit of Satulick.
Dark clouds (that later on resulted in thunder) caused us to curtail the trip to an ‘out and back’ of Satulick versus the originally planned Satulick/Ararat traverse.
