Alpine Scramble - Pratt Mountain
9 scramblers escaped the 4th of July crowds by climbing Pratt Mountain in pleasantly cool weather. The summit was reached via the boulder fields to its southwest.

All the trails are in good shape. There are helpful cairns along the route through the boulder fields, which are mostly stable.
There were plenty of hikers in the area, but none after we left the trail. (Just after we returned to the trail, we did meet one person on his way up Pratt).
Several scramblers were credited with their third successful scramble. The boulder fields require a different sort of scrambling than some of the students had experienced before, but all did just fine.
