The trail to Pinnacle Saddle is in good condition. There is a good path across the recent rock slide below the saddle.
We all met at Longmire and carpooled to Reflection Lake and the trailhead, starting our trek a few minutes past 8 a.m. It was chilly and foggy, but we were optimistic that blue sky would eventually appear - and it did! Sunshine greeted us just as we summited Denman Mtn! We enjoyed a leisurely break with snacks before heading down and going up again to visit Plummer Mtn. Although the sun came and went, it was a beautiful fall day with colors beginning to change. Both summits offered us wonderful views of the surrounding peaks and, literally, peeks at Rainier's summit!
A great day out with wonderful Mountaineer companions ended under a blue sky! We were happy and back at Longmire before 2 pm.
