Great snow conditions when the Avy danger goes back down.
Decided to stay in Avy safe terrain for the day. Left Longmire @ 8:15 am 2 ft of snow on the ground. Spent the day snowshoeing NE between the road and the Nisqually River. Turned around at Van Trump creek. 1000 ft of gain/ 10 miles for the day. Broke trail thru 2-3 ft of snow some of the way. Six inches of new snow during the day. Return to Longmire by 2:30. Road closed to paradise until 12:30
