Forest Road is a dirt road. Passable with comfort by high rise vehicles, but low rise vehicles can still commute in early season. Definitely not recommended in winter or rainy seasons for low clearance vehicles as the road is steep and narrow.
Started at 4.30 PM. Good clear day. After last minute cancellations, I had 6 ppl on the trip including myself.
4 hours round trip. 2 log falls in the route, but easily passable. Raspberry sorbet, cookies and potato wedges.
2 hrs up hill, 30 mins in the summit and 1.5 hours coming down.
If you are doing it as an after work trip, please slow down when you get to the gravel section of the travel while coming down in the dark. (especially when it is wet).
Efficient group and definitely a good conditioning route with great views
