went and looked at goat mt route, decided as a group to do davis peak north, the true summit of davis peak, instead.

quick and dirty route info: hike to davis peak lookout, continue to central summit. descend path west of central summit into the top of the se side of lake terence basin, stay high, traverse ne to first notch, cross notch to e and descend class 2 loose rock and do a descending (200') traverse, then ascend n to saddle, from saddle ascend straight up to attain davis north summit.
for a nice camp from saddle, head nne descending, then traversing to the meadows west of the tarn west of 6539. running water.

water: no water after the river, until meadows west of 6539, although numerous snow patches on the traverses from the central summit.
