Alpine Scramble - Echo Rock & Observation Rock

Great trip, bluebird day on a very quiet Friday, just us and 2 skiers in the area all day. We went through Knapsack pass and then through Spray Park on the return on the Wonderland Trail. A long warm day 10.5 hrs car to car. Parking lot was full on our return.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • Mowich Lake road is dusty and bumpy, but much better than I have seen it in the past.

Very competent group of scramblers made for a great trip.  Not as much snow at Echo and Observation has I have seen in the past.  We did bring crampons for the sometimes hard snow going up to Observation but did not need them. Saw a group of 7 mountain goats and about half a dozen marmots.
