Alpine Scramble - Dungeon Peak

Gorgeous weather, gorgeous foliage, lots of blueberries, and we saw grouse, deer, and frogs, and saw tracks of bear, raccoon, and deer.

  • Road recommended for high clearance only

Dungeon Peak is one of my favorite short scrambles, at just under 4 miles round trip and just under 2000 feet of gain. After a steep boot path to Lake Lillian, the scramble involves crossing open terrain of glacial polished ledges, heather, and blueberry.
