The scramble itself was insignificant, but the mushrooming along the trail was spectacular.

Quite a lot of blowdowns along the Kelly Creek trail. The trail is in need of maintenance. Overgrown and/or eroded in lots of places.
I scrambled this in early November of 2024 and was unimpressed by the scramble. However, I noted a profusion of soggy, rotten mushrooms and reasoned that heading there in October instead of early November might be propitious. Boy was I right. We found copious amounts of choice edible mushrooms. I'm definitely coming back next October.
