5,050 Pass from Dosewallips

The parking area, which requires a NW Forest Pass, is located as a small grass covered area on the right side of the road, 9 miles in from the 101. The trailhead is 150 yds further down on the right, and just before another small clearing on the right side.

The trail had several minor trees down, but nothing of significance. It rained as we neared the top, and the snow level was at 4800 feet. The return trip incurred lots of slipping and sliding due to the rain lubricated trail.
