White Salmon Road

In winter, this road is an easy snowshoe just below the Mount Baker Ski Area. The road curves downhill to an open hill top with views of Mount Shuksan. An optional connector trail heads up to the White Salmon Lodge.

getting there

Drive East on SR-542 ~51 miles from I-5 in Bellingham to White Salmon Road (Forest Road 3075) that heads north from the hairpin turn. Park along the plowed portion of the road where there is typically room for about a dozen cars (3,450 ft).
