Green Glacier - Twin Sisters Range
Accessing the Green Glacier is 5 miles one way through moderately challenging terrain, gaining 4000 ft from the trailhead over trail, climbers trail, boulder fields, scree, and rolling slabs. From this glacier one could access climbs on the north aspects of Little Sister (6,600ft) and Cinderella Peak (6,480ft), or various other sub peaks that make up the Sister's Divide.
The Green Glaciers lie on the eastern side of the Twin Sisters range above the headwaters of the Green Creek. Access to the Green Glacier can occur from the east via the Elbow Lake Trailhead, or via more technical terrain to the west by climbing over peaks of the Sister's Divide. From the Green Glacier, several peaks with fourth class to mid 5th class routes can be accessed. The rock in the Twin Sisters Range is dunite, which is known for its grippy nature. Visitors to the area can find spots to camp in the alpine valley near the Green Creek.
