Tunnel Creek

A quiet trail that follows South Fork Tunnel Creek on the Olympic Peninsula through old growth forest to the secluded Harrison Lake. For an easy to moderate hike turn around at the old but restored shelter. For a more strenuous hike continue to the lake and scramble to the ridgeline for splendid views of Mt. Constance.

Getting There

Drive US-101 to 1.5 miles south of Quilcene and turn right onto Penny Creek Road. In 1.4 miles where the pavement ends and the road forks, take the left fork and continue 1.3 miles where the road is paved and becomes Forest Road 27.  Continue for 1.3 miles, turn onto Forest Road 2740, and drive to the Tunnel Creek Trailhead (2,400 ft).
