Snowtrax Peak
A fun snowshoe or dayhike, part old road bed and part ridge ramble, to a peak with a lovely view.
Starting from the 2400' elevation on the Elbow Coulee Road, head across the open area to the west accessing an old two track road that heads up a draw to the north and west. From the saddle at the top, elevation a shy 3200', head southwest generally following the path of least resistance along the ridgeline to the summit of Snowtrax Peak (3980'). The way will be different between snowy and not snowy conditions, but it definitely goes easily. From the top, enjoy expansive views from Hoodoo and Ragged Ridge via the Gardners to Goat Peak and the Craggies. Retrace your route on the reverse. If more fun is desired before returning to your vehicles, add on a ramble to nearby Funnybone Peak (3515')
