Snoqualmie River (Lower)

The main stem of the Snoqualmie River meanders northwards from Fall City to the confluence with the Skykomish River offering many miles of class I river, great for practicing packrafting skills or for a relaxing river float.

PUT-INs & TAKE-OUTS

  • Plum Boat Launch, Fall City:  River Mile 39.  On river right just below a lake size eddy. By car, drive to 37122 SE Fish Hatchery Rd, Fall City, WA 98024. If this lot is full, there is a larger lot ¼ mile away at 37198 SE Fish Hatchery Rd. This is the highest launch for the class I reach.   

  • Zurfleuh Boat Launch, Fall City:  River Mile 36.5. From the river, just above the Raging River confluence on river left.  By car, aSE 44th Place in Fall City. There is limited parking here.  There is a large overflow lot across the street at the Fall City Floating Lot at 4101 Fall City-Carnation Road SE. 

  • Tolt River Confluence, Carnation:  River Mile 25. On river right just below the mouth of the Tolt River. By car, heading north on SR 203, cross the bridge over the Tolt River and take an immediate left onto a dirt road which leads to Tolt Park.  Another launch site is possible several yards downriver under the pedestrian bridge at John MacDonald Park.  From Zurfleuh Launch to Tolt River is 11.5 river miles.

  • Taylors Landing, Duvall:  River Mile 10. From the river, just past the bridge in Duvall on river right. By car, enter Duvall on the Woodinville Duvall Road and cross over the Snoqualmie River. Turn left onto SR 203 and head north 0.2 miles to the public access on the left. From Tolt River to Taylors Landing is 15 miles.

  • High Bridge Boat Launch, South Monroe:  River Mile 3. On river right just past the bridge for High Bridge Road.  By car, head northwest on High Bridge Road from either Duvall or Carnation. Take a right onto Tester Road and cross over the river. Make the first left hand turn into the lot.  From Taylors Landing to High Bridge is 7 river miles.

This is a gentle section of the Snoqualmie River that is great for practicing packrafting skills on a Class I stretch of river or for a relaxing river float.

  • Be vigilant for log strainers and cobble bars.
  • A portage or two may be required in low water conditions.
