Silver Creek
A short beautiful creek along the Index-Galena road
All detailed information can be found on ropewiki. This page is an overview.
Getting there
Silver Creek is a 10 minute drive up the Index-Galena Road. Turn left to cross a small concrete bridge called “S Bridge.” Take the next right and follow the road. With a low clearance vehicle, you can park just before the fork of two roads (the lower of which is private). With a high clearance vehicle and some skillful driving, continue another mile up the upper road, saving 30-40 minutes of approach.
Approach
Follow the obvious trail for 0.7 miles, then cut down a clear social trail to the creek.
Canyon
The canyon is a short beautiful canyon with jumps and swims in crystal clear water. All but the easiest jumps are rigged with anchors. Expect 2-3 hours car-car.
