Red Rock Mountain
A winter scramble of 7.2 miles with 3,500 feet of elevation gain in the North Cascades near Concrete. From the summit enjoy excellent views of Mount Baker, Mount Shuksan, Twin Sisters, Glacier Peak, Baker Lake, and Lake Shannon.
Getting There
Drive SR-20 to Baker Lake Road, 7.5 miles west of Concrete. Drive Baker Lake Road 4.5 miles to the old logging road north of Grandy Lake.
Approach & Ascent
From Grandy Lake on Baker Lake Road, follow the old logging road northwest and north to the summit of Red Rock Mountain (4,298 ft). To shorten the distance, cut straight through the numerous switchbacks.
