South Beach State Park is a scenic Oregon State Park located just south of Newport, offering miles of sandy beach, coastal trails, and access to the Yaquina Bay Jetty.
This scenic coastal bike route runs approximately 27–28 miles between South Beach State Park and Yachats, primarily along expansive sandy beaches ideal for fat biking. Riders will enjoy miles of beach riding, crossing streams, navigating around rocky headlands like Seal Rock via short road detours, and crossing the Alsea Bay Bridge, with the ride typically best enjoyed southbound to take advantage of prevailing tailwinds.
