Norse Peak

A winter or spring snow scramble that is 8 miles round trip with 2,900 feet of gain near the Crystal Mountain Ski Area.

getting there

From SR-410  turn onto Crystal Mountain Blvd and drive to the Crystal Mountain Ski Resort (4,400 ft).

approach & ascent

Hike East from the Chapel at the ski area to the road immediately behind the ski area to Bullion Basin Trail. Intersect, within 0.5 mile, the old ski run diagonaling right. Follow this to 4,900 ft. Cross stream in nearby woods and head NNE. Gain the ridge, avoiding avalanche slopes and scramble the ridge north to summit.
