No Name Ridge—Thorp Mountain

Thorp Mountain is a scramble of 6 miles with 2,300 feet of gain.

getting there

Take Exit 80 off of I-90 an drive north on Bull Frog Rd. At the roundabout at SR-903, head to Roslyn on SR-903. Drive through Roslyn and at 15 miles from the roundabout, turn left onto Forest Road 4600. Drive 11.7 miles and bear right onto Forest Road 4617. In 1.2 mikes bear left to stay on Forest Road 4617 and in 3 miles reach the end of the road . The parking area is on the east side (4,900 ft).

on the trail

Enjoy the views from the trailhead and then head up the trail. Reach the junction with the trail down to Thorp Lake, a nice side trip, in 4.2 miles. Take the right fork and continue to the lookout at the top of Thorp Mountain.
