Langus Riverfront Park & Spencer Island

An easy 5+ mile hike with little elevation gain. Hike along the Snohomish River with views of Mount Rainier. Spencer Island has over 400 acres that are part of the Snohomish River Estuary with excellent birding opportunities.

getting there

From south of Everett

Take Exit 195 off I-5 and turn left onto East Marine View Dr. Continue 1.2 miles to the entrance ramp onto SR-529. Head north, cross the bridge and make a right onto 28th Pl. At the next intersection, turn right onto 35th Ave NE. Continue to the stop sign and turn left onto Ross Ave. Turn right onto Smith Island Road into the park.

From north of Everett

Take Exit 198 off I-5 and follow SR-529 ~0.8 miles. Exit right onto 34th Ave NE (Frontage Road). Drive 0.9 miles, staying right onto Smith Island Road. Follow Smith Island Road for 1.4 miles to the trailhead.

Note

There are three separate parking lots at the trailhead.
