Island Lake
A small lake near Silverdale with protected areas for practicing sea kayaking techniques.
LAUNCH AREAS
- Kitsap County Parks has a easily accessible beach to launch kayaks and other hand carried crafts at the North end of the lake (1087 NW Island Lake Road, Poulsbo, WA 98370). No permits are required. Kayakers generally launch here or on the west side of the lake. No parking pass is required.
NOTES
- Check for Kitsap Public Heath Advisory, because the lake closes periodically for cyanobacteria blooms and E. coli.
- Public washrooms available.
